Fishing permits are available from three South Uist Angling Club outlets and selected hotels. Fishing is allowed on all the lochs in the South Uist Estate area, except those listed as machair lochs. Boats are available on some of the more accessible and popular lochs, but this should not be taken as an indication that other lochs are of no interest to anglers.

Angling Club boat bookings
Boat permits for the Angling Club lochs can be purchased at any of the three South Uist Angling Club agents, but the chosen loch must be booked through Creagorry Post Office: Mrs Evelyn Thorington - 01870 602431.
Confirmation of availability will be made at time of booking.
Bookings are split into three sessions:
- Sunrise - 1pm
- 1pm - 5pm
- 5pm - dusk
(East Loch Bee boats booked through the Angling Club are for a FULL day.)
Advance bookings of Angling Club boats may be made only one day in advance, 9am-6pm (9am-1pm on Wednesday). Monday bookings may be made the previous Saturday.
