The Uists can be accessed from the mainland by flying either direct from Glasgow to Benbecula (www.ba.com), or via Stornoway from Glasgow, Edinburgh or Inverness (www.highlandairways.co.uk).

By Ferry

Alternatively you can arrive by CalMac (www.calmac.co.uk) ferry from Uig on Skye or Oban on the mainland in Argyll. With more time you can travel the scenic route via the islands of Harris or Barra.
